About Us
King’s Tree Service is a growing tree care company serving the greater Portland area. We pride ourselves on high quality work, safety, and excellent customer service. Our crew works as a team to complete professional pruning, removals, and technical jobs while maintaining a strong safety culture.
We are currently looking for a highly experienced Tree Climber who is confident in technical removals, pruning, and working efficiently with a crew.
Responsibilities
- Perform tree climbing for removals and pruning operations
- Safely rig and lower limbs and wood using proper rigging techniques
- Assess trees and plan safe climbing strategies
- Communicate clearly with the ground crew during operations
- Operate chainsaws and climbing equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow ANSI safety standards and company safety procedures
- Maintain and inspect climbing gear and equipment
- Assist with cleanup and job completion when needed
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years professional climbing experience
- Proficiency in modern climbing systems (SRT/DRT preferred)
- Strong rigging knowledge and experience with technical removals
- Ability to safely operate chainsaws in the tree
- Valid driver’s license with a clean Driving Record
- Strong work ethic and team mentality
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating mini skids, chippers, and stump grinders
- Ability to tow trailers
