DEFINITION Under the direction of the school Principal, perform a variety of diversified clerical and recordkeeping duties in support of the regular day & expanded learning program; answer phones and greet and assist students, parents, staff and visitors; prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports related to the regular day & expanded learning programs, student attendance, and other assigned activities. QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma (or GED) and minimum of one year of general clerical experience • Proficient computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet development, e-mail • Obtain & maintain First Aid & CPR Certifications • Preferred; speaks, reads, and writes Spanish fluently** MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform a variety of diversified clerical duties in support of the regular day & expanded learning offices including typing, filing, duplicating and distributing materials; serve as receptionist, answering telephone calls and directing calls to appropriate personnel; take and relay messages as appropriate. • Compile information and prepare and maintain a variety of records, logs and reports related to regular day & expanded learning programs, students, attendance, and assigned duties; establish and maintain filing systems; revise, verify, proofread and edit a variety of documents as assigned. • Perform attendance-related duties for regular day & expanded learning; issue late slips as needed; verify student absences and update attendance information in regular day & expanded learning systems; assist with campus visitors signing in and out and issue visitation badges according to established guidelines and procedures; monitor student assistants while visiting the office. • Assist health office staff for the regular day & expanded learning program as needed; administer basic first aid and CPR and assist with providing prescribed medication to students as needed; notify parents of health-related issues; prepare student acc
