Job Summary:
The Golf Course Irrigation Technician is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of the golf course irrigation system. This role ensures the efficient and effective watering of greens, fairways, tees, and landscaped areas to support optimal turf health and playing conditions.
Must have rainbird golf course irrigation experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair all components of the golf course irrigation system including heads, valves, controllers, pumps, and pipes.
- Program and monitor central irrigation computer systems (e.g., Toro, Rain Bird, etc.).
- Conduct regular checks to ensure uniform coverage and identify any dry or overly saturated areas.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with low pressure, broken heads, leaks, and electrical faults.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, water usage, and system performance.
- Coordinate with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent on watering schedules and turf health needs.
- Perform hand watering and operate manual irrigation as necessary.
- Assist in seasonal preparation (e.g., winterization, spring start-up).
- Ensure irrigation tools and equipment are kept in good working order.
- Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in irrigation or turf management preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience with golf course or large-scale irrigation systems.
- Working knowledge of irrigation hydraulics, electronics, and plumbing.
- Familiarity with golf course layouts and agronomic practices.
- Ability to read irrigation blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
