King’s Ridge Christian School (KRCS), founded in 2001 for the advancement of Christian education is a PK-12 co-educational Christian day school that is accredited by CESA and SAIS. Position Summary
The teacher’s main role is to create an engaging learning environment in which every child is expected to reach his/her own academic potential and develop ownership of his/her learning while growing in their relationship with Christ.
Essential Functions
Classroom Teaching

· Sets, communicates, and consistently holds students accountable to developmentally appropriate behavior consistent within a Christian community.

· Models Christ-like behavior in all interactions and always represents the King’s Ridge community in a Christ-like manner.

· Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the King’s Ridge Christian School Faculty Handbook.
· Communicates with students and parents in a professional and consistent manner to build relationship.
Small Group
· Leads weekly Christian Life small groups for 10-15 students in grade level specific groups.
· Takes an active interest in the lives of advisees.
· Invests in all aspects of advisee’s school life – spiritual growth, academics success, and extra-curricular activities.
Spiritual
· Is in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
· Has an instructional expertise in the integration of faith and learning.
· Takes responsibility for being a spiritual role model and leader for students.
Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university required.
• Teacher training and/or experience required, current teacher certification preferred.
• Ability and experience working with students with a variety of learning styles.
• A commitment to student success in an excellent, college-prep, Christian education environment, preferred experience at a CESA accredited school.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the school’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining students; guiding and supporting spiritual growth of students; addressing concerns and resolving problems.
