Role Description This is a full-time, on-site BOPE Hand role located in Bakersfield or Coalinga, CA. The BOPE Hand supports field operations by assisting with the installation, maintenance, and operation of blowout prevention equipment (BOPE) and related oilfield tools. Daily tasks may include washing, inspecting, repairing, and testing equipment. Performing routine inspections on trailer accumulator units, cleaning and organizing tools, and following directions from supervisors and senior crew members. The role requires consistent adherence to safety procedures, proper use of personal protective equipment, and participation in safety meetings and training. The BOPE Hand may also assist with basic documentation of work performed, communicate clearly with the crew, and help ensure equipment is ready and available for scheduled jobs.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and working in outdoor and industrial environments for extended periods.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of oilfield and BOPE equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety, including following company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines, and using PPE correctly.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions, work respectfully with others, and report issues promptly.
- Dependable work habits, including punctuality, readiness to work varied shifts, and ability to adapt to changing field conditions and schedules.
