Heavy-Duty Diesel Truck and Trailer Mobile Mechanic

Job Summary
Kings Fleet Service is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Diesel Truck and Trailer Mobile Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty semi-trucks, trailers, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, experience with heavy equipment, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to work with a variety of industrial and automotive systems, utilizing advanced tools and diagnostic techniques.

Responsibilities

· Perform quality preventive maintenance services and DOT inspections on semi-trailers and trucks

· Diagnose and repair air brake systems, ABS, suspension, diesel engines, electrical systems and other diagnosis as needed

· Perform welding and fabrication on steel, stainless and aluminum is preferred

· Experience with hand tools

· Other duties as assigned.

· Must have an adequate complement of your own tools.

· Respond to road calls and perform mobile repairs

· Complete all body repairs on semi-trailers including repairing or replacing side panels, roofs, headers and frame rails

· Repair and replace roll-up doors and swing doors

· Assist other mechanics as needed

· Have good communication skills and be able to work independently and as a team member

· Operate Company vehicles in accordance with local, state, federal and Company policies and safe driving practices

· Thoroughly, timely, neatly, and accurately document repairs and maintenance including a complete accounting of all labor hours, parts and materials used through maintenance software and daily worksheets

· Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive working relationship with all fleet, customer, and operations personnel

· Display professional conduct with customers, co-workers, outside suppliers and contacts

· Maintain safe and clean work areas

· Take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices

· Adhere to Company and OSHA safety guidelines

· Operate a forklift as needed to perform repairs and move heavy parts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
