Maintenance Mechanic - Facilities

Performs skilled maintenance and repair work across multiple trades to support buildings, facilities, and equipment. Responsibilities include electrical repairs, HVAC and refrigeration maintenance, plumbing repairs, carpentry work, and painting/finishing tasks. Utilizes various tools and equipment to complete repairs efficiently. Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation as needed.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years as an operator/engineer in industrial or similar maintenance work.
• Up to 2 years of experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Certification:

• Valid driver’s license required.

• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Effective time management and self-direction.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Demands:

• Semi-sedentary; sitting and walking throughout the day.
• Stooping, climbing, and inspecting as required.
• Handling and manipulating office equipment and materials.
• Frequent talking and hearing for communication.
• Near-vision acuity for reading blueprints, manuals, and bids.
