Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Rehoboth Beach, DE, for a Sous Chef at Kings Creek Country Club. The Sous Chef will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, managing inventory, and collaborating with the Executive Chef to develop menus. The role involves mentoring team members, controlling food costs, and ensuring excellent dining experiences for members and guests.
Qualifications
- A degree in Culinary Arts is preferred but not required
- Minimum of five years experience in high volume restaurants or comparable hospitality environments
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
- Proficient with inventory control, cost control, budgeting, scheduling and ordering systems
- Good organization skills and attention to detail
- Experience working in an upscale operations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
