Job Overview
Kings Cigar Lounge is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cigar Lounge Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will help create a welcoming, comfortable, and professional experience for every guest while maintaining the relaxed, upscale atmosphere of the lounge.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and is interested in learning more about premium cigars and the cigar lounge industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Provide attentive customer service and help create a positive lounge experience.
- Assist customers with cigar selections based on preferences, flavor profiles, strength, and experience level.
- Learn and maintain knowledge of cigar brands, products, accessories, and current lounge specials.
- Monitor and maintain proper humidor temperature and humidity conditions.
- Keep the lounge, humidor, sales area, restrooms, and guest areas clean, organized, and presentable.
- Restock accessories, and other merchandise as needed.
- Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items to management.
- Accurately process purchases and payments using the POS system.
- Follow opening, closing, and daily operational procedures.
- Enforce lounge policies professionally, including age requirements, smoking policies, and house rules.
- Assist with lounge events, promotions, member services, and general guest needs.
- Help maintain the comfortable, relaxing, and upscale atmosphere Kings Cigar Lounge is known for.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, professional, and dependable.
- Comfortable interacting with a variety of customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
- Previous retail, hospitality, lounge, or customer service experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of cigars is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is important.
- Interest in premium cigars and hospitality is strongly preferred.
Availability
Candidates should have daytime/afternoon availability and weekend availability. Flexibility to assist with special events or additional shifts is a plus.
20-30 hrs per week

- Indoor cigar-smoking environment.
- Relaxed, social, and upscale lounge atmosphere.
- Moderate noise levels from music and guest conversations.
- Regular interaction with customers, members, and fellow team members.
