Primary Function
To count the daily collection in alignment with the mission and core values of the company.
Essential Responsibilities
All job duties are to be performed in accordance with Company Policies & Procedures, OSHA standards and other legal regulations and requirements. Essential responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Count each box of chips and stack on carts according to chip value. Each box needs to be counted and accounted for correctly in the Casino Management Software.
- Chip Counters must be aware of the confidential nature of the position – safety and security regulations must be complied with.
- Accurately track all jackpots and associated paperwork in a timely manner.
- Provide a fun, superior gaming and dining experience for patrons by building the guests’ confidence in the accuracy of financial transactions; Responsible for accurately counting the daily gaming collection according to department procedure.
- Maintain safety and security of the count room, drop boxes, and drop box keys while on shift.
- Attend annual BSA/AML training, as scheduled.

Education and/or Experience: Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills are required. High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required. A minimum of 6-9 months of cash handling experience is helpful. Must possess above standard oral and written communication skills and the ability to write legibly, display proficiency in basic mathematical skills, and have the ability to operate a 10 key adding machine.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or team members of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills. Ability to accurately calculate addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in an efficient manner.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Conditions of Employment
This job has conditions of employment essential to the position that include:
- Must be able successfully pass a thorough background check from the City in order to obtain a Gaming License
- Must be able to renew and maintain an active Gaming License according to the city’s requirements
