Summary/Objective
To provide oversight and guidance for coordinating, conducting, and analyzing all formal assessments within the district. To provide leadership in designing, developing, evaluating and implementing curriculum, use of instructional materials, assessments, and professional development activities to benefit students and to assist in faculty learning.
Essential Functions

- Create and manage district-wide assessment calendar.
- Serve as the District Testing Coordinator (DTC) and oversee administration of district & state assessments.
- Coordinate with Director of Special Education to administer the MSAA and ensure accommodations are in place for students with IEPs taking other required state and district assessments.
- Coordinate with technicians to set up testing requirements for online assessments.
- Facilitate any required assessment training, handling of testing materials, scheduling of testing locations, and purchasing of testing incentives.
- Oversee comprehensive school improvement plan.
- Oversee Move on When Reading plans at schools.
- Oversee EL compliance and services at schools.
- Provide leadership to ensure the utilization of a variety of effective and best-practice instructional delivery systems, in an environment conducive to quality teaching and learning.
- Arrange and direct ongoing professional development activities for the instructional staff that coincide with district goals and/or relate to the implementation of the instructional program.
- Investigate and gather resources that aid in the implementation of teaching plans.
- Assist in ensuring approved curricula are fully operational and being actively used by all staff.
- Provide oversight of special projects as they relate to school improvement and instruction.
- Assure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and legislated mandates; ensure alignment with state core standards. Prepare applicable reports district and/or grant/program requirements.
- Promote effective communication and cooperation among administrators and among all members of the school community.
- Work with building leadership to develop plans to assess and monitor student academic progress.
- Coordinate and articulate assessment among and between grades and/or content areas.
- Coordinate state testing programs and analyze the results of the tests.
- Work cooperatively with colleagues within the district to promote initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by the superintendent or designee.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, primarily working Monday through Thursday, with a 180-day certified contract. Employee may need to work extended hours to meet deadlines. Occasional travel to conferences, with overnight stays, may be required.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum five years teaching experience

Master’s degree
Required Certifications/Licenses
Valid Arizona teaching certificate
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Salary : $67,000 - $77,000
