What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lot Porter/Shop Assistant (FT) position at Kingline Equipment Inc.?
We are looking for a shop assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the inside and outside appearance of the dealership. Preparing new and used equipment for sale. Arranging equipment to ensure a neat and appealing show lot. Loading and unloading equipment for customers' delivery and pick up of equipment.
- Moving equipment between the dealership’s display area, workshop, storage facility, and pick-up point.
- Assisting the sales and service departments with tasks.
- Loading/unloading equipment for customers and drivers.
- Pick up and deliver between dealer multiple locations.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of all equipment on the lot.
- Maintaining interior and exterior cleanliness.
- Driving off-site to run dealership errands when required.
- Performing basic maintenance tasks such as - checking fluids levels, checking tire pressure, and ensuring proper operation of machinery.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Pass drug and background test
- Working knowledge of basic equipment maintenance would be advantageous.
- Ability to assume responsibility for the valuable property of customers and the dealership.
- Willingness to learn and to perform a wide range of allocated tasks.
- Ability to take accurate notes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work.
