Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Field Service Technician for a onsite/traveling role based in Lowell, MA. The Field Service Technician will install, maintain, and repair communication and fire detection systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with client specifications. Responsibilities include conducting on-site inspections, troubleshooting technical issues, training clients on system use, and preparing detailed reports on maintenance and service tasks. Collaboration with engineering teams to provide feedback for system enhancements is also an integral part of the role.
Qualifications
- Experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing communication and electrical systems
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints, schematics, and manuals
- Knowledge of radio transmission technologies, fire detection systems, and emergency communication devices
- Ability to operate testing equipment and tools safely and effectively
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Physical ability to work in various environments and lift equipment as needed
- Valid driver’s license/passport and ability to travel to client sites as required
- Experience with Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems or radio systems is an advantage
