Job Overview:
Our growing national commercial title insurance agency is looking for the perfect candidates for the role of Commercial Escrow Officer.
This position includes direct client interactions during the process of closing commercial real estate transactions both in Ohio and nationally. While experience is preferred, we will also consider training newly hired individuals who possess appropriate skills and related experience.
The applicant will need to be detail-oriented and able to multi-task, prioritize and provide timely follow-up to others on the team. They will have excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, and work collaboratively through a complex series of actions toward the goal of closing.
In this role, the Commercial Escrow Officer will be responsible for ensuring the property titles are clear, outstanding debts have been paid, all financial obligations have been met according to the contract, and that the real estate agreements are authentic. The Commercial Escrow Officer will also handle the disbursement of funds and the processing of legal paperwork to finalize the transaction. The Senior Escrow Officer should demonstrate exceptional decision-making skills and advanced clerical knowledge.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Verifying the accuracy of real estate contracts
- Effectively coordinating buyers, sellers, real estate agents and lending institutions
- Ensuring all financial obligations have been met by the seller and the buyer.
- Accurate disbursement of funds
- Assists the Underwriting Counsel when he’s absent
- Adherence to service excellence standards of performance
- Maintains office appearance
- Assist team whenever needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Typing
- Basic computer skills
- Microsoft Word
- Experience with Title & Escrow software
Minimum Education Requirements:
High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications:
Title Insurance License
