Responsibilities
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fences, to ensure physical security.
- Control access to the facility using access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations by following established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or security threats.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for record-keeping and investigation purposes.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by monitoring for theft or vandalism and implementing conflict de-escalation techniques when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in physical security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid and CPR/AED operation is optional; additional certifications such as Taser use or firearm handling are a plus.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, access control systems, incident report writing, and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with visitors and staff.
- Demonstrated understanding of compliance with security regulations and protocols.
