Position Summary
The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining relationships within the community to promote awareness of the organization’s detoxification and residential substance abuse treatment services. This role serves as a key liaison between the treatment program and referral sources, healthcare providers, community organizations, and the public to increase access to care and support individuals seeking recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to increase program visibility and client referrals
- Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, clinics, social service agencies, courts, and community organizations
- Represent the organization at community events, health fairs, and professional meetings
- Educate stakeholders about substance use disorders, treatment options, and program services
- Coordinate and conduct presentations, workshops, and training sessions
- Collaborate with admissions and clinical teams to support client engagement and intake processes
- Track outreach activities, referral sources, and outcomes; prepare regular reports
- Identify new partnership opportunities to expand community reach
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local resources, trends in substance use, and best practices in outreach
- Support marketing initiatives, including social media, print materials, and campaigns (if applicable)
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in community outreach, behavioral health, or substance abuse services preferred
- Knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery processes, and treatment modalities (detox/residential care)
- Strong interpersonal, networking, and communication skills
- Experience with public speaking and delivering presentations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally

- Familiarity with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements

Compensation
- $70,000 annually
