Job Description
Kingdom Pipe & Steel (Brannon Industrial Group) is hiring a dependable Yard Laborer to support daily yard operations, material handling, warehouse operations, and pipe yard logistics at our Brenham facility.
This role is responsible for assisting with loading/unloading trucks, pipe inspections, inventory tracking, forklift operation, and yard organization. The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-focused, and experienced in a pipe yard, steel yard, or industrial warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily yard operations including organizing, sorting, and staging pipe materials
- Perform loading and unloading of trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Conduct detailed pipe inspections for inbound and outbound shipments (checking wall thickness, welds, straightness, and defects)
- Assist with inventory tracking and material counts, ensuring accurate reporting to yard management
- Operate forklifts safely to move, stack, and organize materials throughout the yard
- Maintain clean and efficient warehouse and yard operations, including debris removal and yard upkeep
- Sort and place pipe into designated bins to support organized inventory management
- Communicate with yard foreman and team members to coordinate logistics and daily workflow
- Assist with general equipment operation and yard maintenance tasks
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies
Additional Responsibilities & Training Opportunities
- Remove stickers and prepare pipe during inspection and processing
- Assist with material handling and truck loading/unloading as needed
- Learn to operate specialized equipment such as hardness testers, tally guns, and ultrasound machines
- Participate in forklift certification training (if not already certified)
- Cross-train in multiple areas of yard operations and warehouse support
Qualifications
- Experience in yard operations, warehouse operations, material handling, or industrial labor preferred
- Experience with forklift operation (certification preferred but not required)
- Strong attention to detail for pipe inspection and inventory tracking
- Ability to work outdoors in a pipe yard or industrial environment
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials safely
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time in person
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset

Work Environment
This is an in-person role at our Brenham pipe yard. Work is performed in an outdoor yard and warehouse environment, requiring physical labor, equipment operation, and daily coordination with drivers and yard personnel.
