Duties
- Supervise daily center operations, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards
- Lead, mentor, and support teaching staff to deliver exceptional child development instruction and classroom management
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promote childhood development, including infant care, toddler care, and preschool activities
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Oversee child supervision to ensure safety at all times, including during activities, meals, and outdoor play
- Coordinate staff training sessions (such as first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid), and ongoing professional development
- Ensure adherence to mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety incidents
Experience
- Proven experience working with children across various age groups in daycare or preschool settings
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development milestones, and behavior management techniques
- Experience working with families to address concerns and foster positive parent communication
- Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or similar safety training is highly desirable
