Position Overview:
Kingdom Heights Preparatory School, a ministry of The Rock Family Worship Center, is seeking a passionate
History Teacher to educate and inspire students through the study of historical events, civic responsibility, and Christian worldview integration. The ideal candidate will foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a love for history while upholding the school's faith-based mission.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an accredited university.
- Certification: Valid Alabama teaching certification with appropriate subject area endorsement(s) and grade level.
- Skills: Strong instructional abilities, classroom management, and commitment to faith-based education.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Faith-Based Instruction & Leadership
- Integrate biblical principles into history instruction, helping students see God’s hand throughout history.
- Model Christ-like character in interactions with students, staff, and parents.
- Actively participate in chapel services, devotionals, and school-wide faith initiatives.
✅ Engaging & Effective Teaching
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum.
- Teach historical events, government systems, geography, and cultural studies with clarity and enthusiasm.
- Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and analysis of historical perspectives.
- Utilize primary and secondary sources, multimedia, and interactive learning strategies.
✅ Student Support & Classroom Management
- Create a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Establish and uphold clear expectations for student behavior.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional methods accordingly.
✅ Communication & Collaboration
- Maintain open, professional communication with parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Provide timely feedback on student progress and development.
- Engage in professional development to continually improve teaching practices.
Additional Information:
- Contract Term: 189 days
- Salary: Based on education and experience.
