Description: King University in Bristol, Tennessee is seeking an experienced leader to serve as Director of Network and Cloud Operations.
Minimum Qualifications: Education: A bachelor’s degree in a related field or significant work experience is required. Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in computer technology. Communication Skills: excellent written and verbal communication skills. Leadership Skills: The candidate must have the ability to think “globally” about all problems or challenges so that decisions are made in concert with the King University Campus vision and needs. Computer Skills: Highly proficient knowledge of Microsoft networking and information technology trouble-shooting. Level of Independence: High level of ability to work independently and able to prioritize the work. Physical Exertion Requirements: Medium Work as defined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Schedule Flexibility: Be able to work flexible hours as required or on special weekends as requested. Driving History: Must qualify to drive a university-owned vehicle. Procedures Commitment: The candidate must adhere to all King University policies as detailed for all employees in the Employee Handbook or specifically per any department, such as Admissions, Business Office, Financial Aid, etc. Christian Commitment: The candidate must have and be able to articulate a personal faith in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and support the mission of King University.
Responsibilities: Network Services includes developing, managing and/or maintaining as applicable the following items, including but not limited to: Campus computing network, both wired and wireless. Email accounts, access and distribution list. Active Directory group policies. Student portal and student email accounts. Campus LAN and WAN connectivity. Firewall configurations updated. Additional remote access to campus resources. Cloud Services, including but not limited to: Maintain employee and student accounts in Office365 including appropriate license assignment. Maintain Teams phone system for the University. Train users as needed on phone and voice mail usage. Troubleshoot all issues related to Office365 service and quality. Provide onsite support to primary remote locations; frequency will vary according to need. In conjunction with the helpdesk staff provide audio and video systems support for campus events. Have an in-depth knowledge of King University technology infrastructure and IT security. Provide supervision to the helpdesk staff.
