Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements to ensure peak performance.
- Work with heavy equipment mechanics and diesel mechanics to troubleshoot and repair diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for mechanical repairs while adhering to safety standards.
- Diagnose complex problems related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), auto electrical systems, and auto body repairs.
- Read and interpret vehicle schematics and technical manuals to execute precise repairs efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly with customers about repair needs and estimates.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive repair industry with hands-on mechanic experience.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems including powertrain, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools.
- Knowledge of ADAS technology, air brake systems, oil change procedures, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement.
- Ability to work efficiently on both gasoline and diesel engines; experience with heavy equipment mechanics is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Certifications related to automotive repair or diesel mechanics are preferred but not mandatory; ongoing training encouraged.
