What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Driver/Material Handler position at King Speed LLC?
Duties:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials
- Move and stack materials in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance or safety issues
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while operating the forklift
- Assist with inventory control by accurately counting and recording materials
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate order picking
- Use pallet jacks and other equipment to move materials within the warehouse
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a forklift operator or similar role
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
- Strong knowledge of forklift operations, including loading, unloading, and stacking materials
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic math skills for inventory control purposes
- Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on forklift equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Schedules:
Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 5pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
