We’re seeking a versatile and proactive Facilities Technician to support the day-to-day operations of our Atlanta office. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in maintaining a safe and functional workspace, and has working knowledge across multiple trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and basic electrical work. Key Responsibilities: Conduct daily walk-throughs of all office floors to identify and address maintenance needs. Perform minor repairs and general upkeep including: Replacing light bulbs and ceiling tiles Relocating furniture and fixtures Unclogging drains and fixing leaks Patching and painting walls Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs (e.g., carpet cleaning, appliance servicing), ensuring quality and timely completion. Maintain and update checklists for daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks. Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with life safety standards. Prepare vacant office spaces for new employees, including furniture setup and workspace organization. Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and materials; ensure availability of commonly used items. Support interoffice moves and act as a liaison between internal teams and service providers. Collaborate with building management on janitorial, HVAC, and other facility-related issues. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in facilities, maintenance, or related trades preferred. Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, and appliance repair. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills; able to document issues and provide clear instructions. Comfortable using basic technology (e.g., email, maintenance tracking systems). Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with shifting demands. Physical ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, climbing, kneeling, and prolonged standing.
