Shop Associate/ (Loader - Forklift Operator)

As part of our crew, you are responsible for helping load customers and our delivery trucks with sod orders, maintaining a clean and organized shop, and operating forklifts to handle materials.

Key Responsibilities:

-Loading and Unloading sod orders for customers in a timely and accurate manner. (Sometimes by hand)

-Operation of forklifts safely and efficiently to move sod and other materials around the shop and yard.

-Maintain a clean and organized shop environment, ensuring sod is properly stored and easy to access.

-Provide friendly and professional customer service, answering any questions and ensuring customers are satisfied with their orders.

-Perform basic maintenance on equipment (Forklifts, and other machinery).

-Assist in preparing and organizing materials for deliveries or customer pick-up orders.

-Answering customer questions about sod, de-icer, ect.

-Able to run errands for occasional shop needs (getting fuel, parts, miscellaneous tools.)

-Assisting with other various tasks as needed.

Requirements for the Position:

-Must have a great attitude and excellent customer service skills. (Requires someone who likes helping customers.)

-Must be friendly and professional

-Must be dependable, hardworking, and punctual

-Strong attention to detail and have and great order accuracy.

-Must be able to work at a fast and efficient pace.

-Valid forklift certification or willingness to get one. (You will be driving fork lifts so experience helps, but is not required.)

-Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed. (This position can be physically demanding at times) (Able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs)

-Strong communication and teamwork skills.

-Must have a valid drivers license

-Must be able to work inside/outside in all weather conditions (Rain/Heat/ Cold/ Snow/ etc.)

· Occasional Payment Processing (over phone credit card or in person)
