Job Overview
King Shipping, a Fedex Contractor, is seeking reliable and dedicated Delivery Drivers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to navigate routes efficiently. Must be 21 years of age, able to pass a criminal and driving background check as well as a drug screen both at the time of hire and randomly throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
Skills
- Proven experience in route driving and commercial driving preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience with loading and unloading goods safely.
- Ability to lift heavy items up to 150 pounds and perform moving tasks as required.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is desirable.
