Our client, a leading Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add a Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner to their Idaho team. This individual will be responsible for managing complex Workers’ Compensation claims from inception through resolution across the state of Idaho. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling litigated and high-exposure claims and must possess strong working knowledge of Idaho Workers’ Compensation laws and regulations. This is a fully remote position.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of complex Workers’ Compensation claims from first notice of loss through closure.

Conduct thorough investigations, evaluate compensability, determine exposure, and establish appropriate reserves.

Direct and oversee independent adjusters, medical experts, vocational consultants, and other specialists as needed.

Collaborate with and provide strategic direction to defense counsel, ensuring appropriate litigation management and cost control.

Negotiate settlements with injured workers, attorneys, and other involved parties.

Attend mediations, settlement conferences, and hearings on high-exposure or litigated files.

Ensure claim handling complies with Idaho state statutes, company policies, and industry best practices.

Maintain detailed, accurate claim documentation and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:

3 – 10 years of Workers’ Compensation claims adjusting experience, including complex and litigated claims.

Well versed in Idaho Workers' Compensation law.

Must hold an active Idaho Adjuster’s License (or the ability to obtain one promptly).

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, negotiate settlements, and present information effectively.

Proven ability to manage a remote workload independently while meeting deadlines and performance metrics.
