JOB SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Manager this position will provide general specimen processing and clerical support for Laboratory Services Dept.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
-
Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties:
-
Answer the phone in a timely and courteous manner.
-
Assists in calling ordering facilities for samples needing recollected.
-
Processes and accession blood, tissues, and body fluids for testing.
-
Centrifuge specimens, and load/unload samples from automated instrumentation.
-
Review and reconcile pending logs throughout the day, and investigate any discrepancies.
-
All other processing and clerical duties as assigned.
