Job Description

What to Expect in the Role:

• Supervise a crew of 20 to 30 seasonal employees
• Responsible for employee safety. Must know and follow safety rules and train employees on safe work procedures. Must train employees to know and follow safety rules.
• Keeps management aware of all accidents and unsafe conditions.
• Incumbent must be able to drive a 45-passenger bus in order to transport workers from the housing to the work site on a daily basis. Must also transport workers during non-working hours for grocery shopping, banking, etc.
• Operates a citrus loader in the grove. Works efficiently and keeps tubs available for workers to maximize their efficiency.
• Must know, understand and communicate policies and procedures to employees.
• Trains, supervises, and counsels employees.
• Ensures that employee housing remains in satisfactory condition.
  
  

What We Will Be Needing From You

• The incumbent must learn and comply with OSHA, MSPA, H-2A and other regulations as required by law.
• Incumbent must have prior experience working in the citrus harvesting industry.
• The incumbent must possess a CDL license with a passenger endorsement.
• The incumbent must be bilingual, English, and Spanish.
• The incumbent must have or obtain a WPS trainer certification.
• The incumbent must be able to operate a citrus loader.
