What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farm Sod Delivery Driver position at King Ranch?
What to Expect in the Role:
- Operate company owned and leased trucks over 4 tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operations
- Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of Sod and materials
- Perform required before, during and after operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports
- Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- Operate all Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Maintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA and company safety programs
- Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition
- Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations
What We Will Be Needing From You:
- Must have only one valid commercial driver’s license
- Must have a valid medical certificate
- Ability to always operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner
- Ability to know how to safely load, block, brace and secure the cargo
- Ability to make overnight runs as required by shipping needs
- Must be able to learn to operate all MHE used by the company
- Ability to understand and comply with posted work rules and procedures
- No Education/Experience Required.
- Valid CDL required with minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience
