Role Summary:
The HR Coordinator will assist with coordinating and administration of human resources programs, processes, activities, and policies for personnel and participates in the administration of all human resources activities and functions. These include recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, organization development and training. The primary focus of the HR Coordinator will be the coordination and management of the H2a program within King Ranch.
What To Expect In The Role
- Maintain H2a Program and all related contracts, employees, and visas. Travel as needed to train and update H2a employees before bringing them to the US.
- Coordinate between H2a organization and management to organize the arrival and exit of visa workers.
- Assists divisions with recruiting and new hire processing.
- Ensure new hire paperwork is completed for H2a employees and help locations with onboarding.
- Ensure that all activities, employment practices, forms, and postings comply with all state and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update SSN when required for H2a employees and Approved Driver’s DL.
- Maintain knowledge of HR policies, programs, laws, issues, and coordinate the integration of all such programs.
- Assists with the preparation of H2a contracts to provide to employees.
- Act as central coordinator for Standard Operating Procedures for the H2a program.
- Coordinate communications pieces for the HR Department.
- Assist in the coordination of annual training, employee surveys,
- Responds to routine questions on HR forms, records, policies, HR systems, and/or procedures.
- Provide managers with reports as required, and prepare reminder notifications to managers in relation to overdue Certificates, e.g. First Aid, Drivers’ License.
- Perform various reporting requests such as food stamp wage verifications, home mortgage loan employment verifications, etc.
- Assists in maintaining and updating the central employee electronic filing system for the HR Department; ensures confidentiality of information, departmental plans, personnel files, or other restricted access information within the Company guidelines. Retrieves information from files when needed.
- Maintains visibility with all employees and addresses any issues and concerns that are identified in a timely and professional manner.
- Audits and ensures that employee data is accurately entered and maintained in the appropriate HRIS and audited in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements for corporate.
- May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or equivalent HR experience in a corporate environment.
- Experience in developing and conducting presentations, and documentation management and control.
- Strong organizational skills/attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and develop solid working partnerships with HR peers and management.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills, including the ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate flexibility.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Discretion and confidentiality required; Team player.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. High level of professionalism in appearance and manner.
- Proven problem solving, reasoning and negotiating skills.
