Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Independent Sales Representative (1099) to expand our market presence and grow sales across assigned territories. This is a commission-only role (up to 5%), ideal for reps who already service food packaging, plastics, or related product lines and want to add a high-demand, repeat-purchase product to their portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and secure new accounts within food manufacturing, distribution, packaging supply, and related industries.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers to increase reorders and volume.
- Present product options (containers & lids from 6 oz to 110 oz) and communicate features, pricing, and lead times.
- Attend customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events (optional but encouraged).
- Provide customer feedback to internal teams regarding market needs, competitive activity, and product opportunities.
- Manage your own schedule, sales funnel, and territory strategy as an independent contractor.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven outside sales experience, preferably in packaging, plastics, food service, or industrial products.
- Existing network within relevant industries is a strong plus.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working on a commission-only structure (up to 5%).
- Knowledge of food-grade plastics, like injection-molding is beneficial but not required.
Compensation
- Commission-only (1099): Up to 5% per sale
- Residual income potential through repeat orders.
