Position Overview:
King Painting is seeking an experienced and motivated Painting Foreman to lead projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for overseeing crews, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and maintaining efficient, safe, and organized job sites. The Foreman serves as the key link between leadership, the crew, and the client—setting the tone and keeping projects on track.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Oversight & Project Management:
Lead and direct painting crews (typically 1–6 painters) in the field
Manage daily workflow and hold team members accountable to expectations
Ensure job sites are prepared each day with proper tools, materials, and plans
Communicate with project managers and/or clients on progress, timelines, and punch lists
Proactively solve problems on site and escalate issues when necessary
Represent the company professionally with clients and other trades
Technical Duties & Job Site Responsibilities:
Perform and oversee surface preparation and application of paints, stains, and coatings
Maintain job site cleanliness and organization
Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with standards, including proper PPE usage
Track hours, job costs, and materials for assigned projects
Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment such as sprayers, ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
Conduct final walkthroughs, punch lists, and touch-ups with clients or project managers
Customer Service & Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact on job sites
Set clear expectations with clients regarding progress and outcomes
Address client feedback and concerns professionally
Maintain communication with leadership regarding scheduling, materials, and upcoming work
Qualifications:
2 years of professional painting experience required
Prior leadership or crew supervision experience preferred
Proficient in brush, roll, and spray applications
Strong understanding of prep techniques, paint systems, and job sequencing
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on feet throughout the day
Comfortable using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
OSHA 30, boom lift, and fall protection certifications preferred (not required)
Willingness to travel for projects when needed
