JOB TITLE: Scheduling Coordinator (Full-Time)
SUPERVISOR: Reports to the Administrator
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scheduling Surgeries
- Patient Billing, Posting Payments, Collections
- Chart preparation
- Filing
- Insurance Verification
- Medical Records
- Patient Registration
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 2 years Medical Office experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of computers with experience in windows-based systems and Microsoft Office
- Experience with medical practice billing software necessary
- Team player, Ability to communicate effectively with center management, center staff, patients, their families, the physicians and their staff
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language
- Detail oriented; Ability to handle frequent interruptions that result in having to re-evaluate priorities
- Proficient in medical terminology
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal busy office environment with much telephone work.
