What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims Specialist position at King of Freight?
Job Summary
King of Freight is a locally owned Freight Brokerage that has been operating since 2008. We are growing quickly and are hiring for our Claims Department.
We are looking for candidates that are experienced on a computer with quick typing skills (minimum of 35WPM), pay close attention to detail and have experience in claims, specifically cargo claims or similar claim fields. Experience in the trucking industry is a plus but is not required. This position will start at $20.00 an hour. The hours will be 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. Responsibilities include but are not limited:
Responsibilities
- Working directly with customers, drivers and insurance companies to resolve claims
- Manage assigned claims with guidance from leads as needed.
- Building and maintaining lasting relationships with our customers and carriers
- Work with Customers to resolve issues that could delay payments
Required Skills/Abilities
- 4 or more years' experience in auto insurance adjusting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, personable, well spoken
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Familiar with computer systems, ability to type at least 35 WPM
