Description:
We are seeking an inspector for tire mold manufacturing and repair. The Inspector will be responsible for measuring, calibrating, visual inspection, blueprint reading, audits, documentation and record keeping.
Requirements:Qualification Requirements:
Ability to measure large and small parts with accuracy of .001” using micrometers, vernier calipers, depth micrometers, and dial indicator. CMM or Faro experience, strong computer skills, technical report writing, calibration, ISO standards, documentation and record keeping.
Minimum Requirements:
- Inspection experience using precision measuring instruments
- Basic computer skills for record keeping and report writing
- Organization
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification or vocational training in CMM/Inspection or a related field is highly preferred.
- Inspection work experience
Essential Functions:
- 8-hour workday with occasional overtime
- Willing and able to maintain and keep pace with production requirements
- Maintain, clean, and store inspection tools to ensure they operate effectively and accurately.
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Follow all rules and policies outlined in employee handbook
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift heavy mold components and perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods and handling tools and equipment.
Work Environment:
- Works in a manufacturing or industrial setting, typically in a machine shop or production area with exposure to heavy machinery, noise, and industrial hazards.
- May require lifting and handling heavy tire molds, standing for long periods, and using various hand and power tools.
- Must adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while working.
