About the Role
King Industries is seeking a motivated Project Inspector to assist with watershed and flood recovery projects in northern New Mexico, specifically in the Las Vegas area. This position supports the Project Manager in day-to-day field oversight, inspection, and administrative coordination.
The Project Inspector will help ensure that work performed under King Industries’ watershed and debris recovery programs meets project specifications, safety standards, and documentation requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in civil construction, environmental management, or federally funded infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform on-site inspections of watershed and debris recovery projects to verify compliance with project plans and specifications.
· Track daily work progress, quantities, and site conditions.
· Assist the Project Manager with administrative functions such as field reports, photo documentation, and recordkeeping.
· Communicate with contractors, landowners, and local agencies as needed.
· Ensure safety and environmental standards are maintained on all work sites.
· Support documentation for project closeout and reporting.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management, environmental science, or related field preferred.
· Experience in field inspection, construction, or environmental projects is helpful but not required.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately.
· Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather conditions.
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. All fuel and mileage will be reimbursed with potential Company vehicle available after probationary period.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office or basic field documentation software preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
· $20–$25/hour depending on experience.
