Companion Care Sitter

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Companion Care Sitter to provide dedicated support and companionship to a client in his home.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and emotional support to client, engaging in conversations, activities, or hobbies that promote mental stimulation and social interaction. t.
• Support medication reminders
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning up after meals, tidying living spaces, and ensuring safety hazards are minimized.
• Follow established care plans meticulously while respecting client preferences and privacy standards.
• Document observations accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA; keep detailed logs of client activities and health status.
• Support clients during outings or community activities to promote independence and social engagement.
• Collaborate effectively with other caregivers, nurses, social workers, or family members involved in the client’s care.
• Encourage physical activity
• Assistance with grocery shopping
• Assistance with picking out clothes
• Running errands with client

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years work history
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable transportation to travel to client's home
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Experience
Candidates should bring a genuine passion for caregiving combined with relevant experience such as home & community care, assisted living environments, nursing homes, or group homes. Experience in long-term care settings or working within home health services demonstrates your ability to adapt to diverse client needs while maintaining professionalism under HIPAA standards. Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
