Job Summary:
King & George is seeking seasonal Grounds Maintenance Laborers to support landscape and grounds upkeep at Naval Station Mayport. This position performs outdoor manual labor including mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, debris removal, and general landscape maintenance across large areas of the installation. This is physically demanding outdoor work performed in Florida heat and weather conditions.

Duties:
- Mow large turf areas using commercial equipment
- Trim and edge around sidewalks, fences, and structures
- Blow debris from sidewalks, roads, and parking areas
- Remove branches and landscape debris
- Assist with tree trimming and debris chipping operations
- Load and unload tools, mulch, and materials
- Maintain clean work areas and job sites
- Operate handheld landscaping equipment (weed eaters, blowers, hedge trimmers)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work outdoors in heat, humidity, and weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and perform manual labor for extended periods
- Ability to follow supervisor instructions and work safely around equipment
- Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred but not required.
- Prolonged period of standing, bending, reaching, and working with hands
- Occasional periods of prolonged exposure to loud noises
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands as necessary
- Ability to hear and see to position and safety requirement levels
- Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals
- Must be able to successfully pass as required a federal, state, or local government's background investigation
- Must have a valid drivers license
