Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Gas Station Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide friendly service, handle transactions accurately, and help maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Operate cash registers and process cash, credit, and debit transactions
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays; rotate products as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, and forecourt area
- Monitor fuel pumps and assist customers when necessary
- Verify age for alcohol and tobacco sales in compliance with regulations
- Handle returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries professionally
- Follow safety, security, and company procedures
- Report equipment issues, shortages, or suspicious activity to management
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience a plus
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift light to moderate items
Work Environment:
