Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our family-owned hotel's team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance and functionality of our 46-room hotel. Your primary objective will be to maintain a safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing environment for our guests and staff. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance issues.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC system repairs, to ensure the proper functioning of hotel facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, common areas, and other hotel spaces to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff in a timely and professional manner.
- Repair or replace faulty equipment, fixtures, and appliances as needed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities to minimize the occurrence of breakdowns and ensure the longevity of hotel assets.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Collaborate with other hotel staff to coordinate maintenance activities that minimize disruptions to guests' experience.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, materials used, and expenses incurred.
- Assist with general upkeep and landscaping tasks as required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues efficiently.
