Pay Ranges from $21.00 - 23.00/ hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- This individual will help perform a variety of administrative tasks, including data entry, invoicing, work orders, and billing.
- Completes work orders/invoices by providing the necessary information, labor performed, parts used, and any other information.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair various pieces of equipment on a regular basis.
- Knowledge of basic service work on engines, tire repairs and exterior part of the vehicle.
- Will assist in maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building and contribute to a preventative maintenance program.
- Retrieving necessary parts from external vendors on a daily/weekly basis.
- Drive/ transferring vehicles to different locations as needed.
- Assist in monitoring shop inventory and ordering parts as needed.
- Assembling mechanical components according to specifications.
- Examining equipment and performing diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
- Communicating with proper staff on progress with vehicles.
- Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
- Ensures all service equipment (jacks, tools, trucks) are in good working order, clean, and properly repaired when needed.
- Maintains cleanliness of shop and keeps free of clutter.
- Practices and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees.
- Maintains records using Outlook and other Microsoft Suites Applications.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (college degree is preferred).
- General vehicle maintenance knowledge (REQUIRED).
- Minimum 1 year experience in automotive maintenance.
- Valid MT driver's license with proof of a clean driving record 12 months prior to hire date.
- Must possess basic mechanical knowledge and show competence in the use of hand tools, meters, measuring devices and gauges.
- Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks and repairs.
- Must participate in King Capital Transport safety program.
- Ability to pass the requirements of MDOT Licensing (including drug and alcohol screening).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and logic to solve problems to root cause.
- Experience in Microsoft Office/Suites.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent: Bending, walking, standing, and sitting for long periods of time. Lift and carry up to 30lbs.
- Occasionally: Push, pull up to 100 lbs. Kneeling, squatting, working in restricted areas.
- Work indoors and outdoors, exposed to heat and cold, Lift and Carry up to 75lbs.
Job Type: Year-round, Full-time
- Monday – Friday (possibility of Saturday rotation; as needed); this can be flexible for the right the candidate.
- Start and End time(s); flexible for the right the candidate.
