Vice President, Institutional Client Service
Position Overview
Our client, a respected investment management firm, is seeking a Vice President, Institutional Relationship Management & Business Development to join its growing team. This high-visibility role will initially focus on servicing and strengthening relationships with existing institutional clients, with a clear path into territory-based business development, consultant relations, and new asset growth over time.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as senior relationship manager for a portfolio of institutional clients including pensions, endowments, foundations, consultants, OCIOs, and other sophisticated allocators.
- Lead client review meetings, board presentations, update calls, and strategic discussions.
- Deliver a proactive, high-touch client experience that drives retention and satisfaction.
- Partner closely with investment, operations, and leadership teams to ensure seamless client support.
- Build and deepen relationships with institutional prospects, consultants, and referral sources.
- Execute disciplined outreach, pipeline development, and follow-up strategy.
- Identify new opportunities across channels, geographies, and investor segments.
- Grow into a production-oriented role with significant upside tied to results.
- Provide market intelligence on competitors, allocator demand, consultant trends, and product opportunities.
- Contribute to enhancements in go-to-market strategy, client engagement, and sales processes.
- Share best practices and external perspective to support growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 10 years of relevant experience in institutional asset management, OCIO, RIA, investment consulting, or a related institutional platform.
- Strong background in institutional client service, relationship management, consultant relations, and/or business development.
- Experience working directly with sophisticated institutional investors.
- Strong understanding of investment products, performance discussions, and capital markets.
