This is a full-time, on-site role for a Journeyman Carpenter based in Reno, NV. Responsibilities include constructing, installing, and repairing structures such as framing, fixtures, walls, doors, fences, decks, and cabinetry. The Journeyman Carpenter will also inspect blueprints, determine material requirements, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard. Additionally, the role requires maintaining tools and equipment and providing excellent customer service by communicating project updates to clients and addressing any concerns.
- Proficiency in carpentry skills such as framing, finishing, and cabinet installation
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of fencing installation and repair, including various types such as privacy and picket fences
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and adhere to workplace regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Previous experience in home remodeling and construction is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
