Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on complex automotive electrical, mechanical, and powertrain systems using advanced tools and schematics.
- Repair and overhaul engines, including diesel engines, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct precise alignment procedures and wheel balancing to optimize vehicle handling and tire longevity.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately to troubleshoot electrical issues across various vehicle models, including GM vehicles.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs efficiently and safely.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings in accordance with dealership procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service experience.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Extensive knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), automotive wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Proficiency in diagnosing issues related to automotive electrical systems, engine performance, and powertrain components.
- Skilled in diesel engine repair, mechanical repair, auto body repair, welding, and vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to interpret complex schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with alignment, wheel balancing, and vehicle electrical systems.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques, manual handling safety protocols, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid mechanic license or certification preferred; ongoing training or certification is a plus.
