Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fabricator Sheet Metal to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating of sheet metal enclosures and parts, assembly, and welding sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in blueprint reading, metalworking techniques, and mechanical knowledge will contribute to producing high-quality ductwork, structural elements, and custom metal assemblies. Duties
- Operation of CAD - CAM turret punch and plasma table
- Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal components
- Operate fabrication machinery such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and machining tools to produce precise parts
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, bending, welding, soldering, and assembling sheet metal pieces
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and
welding techniques to join metals according to ASME codes & standards - Measure materials with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Conduct rigging and pipe threading tasks for installation of fabricated components on construction sites or in manufacturing settings
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols related to welding, machining, and material handling
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience or background in manufacturing environments involving sheet metal fabrication
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics for fabrication projects
- Prior training and experence with CAD - CAM controller and operation of fabrication equipment.
- Skilled in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding processes; certification preferred but not required
- Ability to operate plasma cutting machines, press brakes, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment safely
- Strong mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, assembly techniques, and ductwork fabrication
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards relevant to metal fabrication and welding practices
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks
- Experience with rigging operations using cranes or forklifts for lifting heavy materials or assembled components
- Knowledge of schematics related to mechanical systems or construction projects is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently on-site or in a manufacturing setting while maintaining high safety standards
