Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Financial Accounting Analyst for a financial services firm in the Jackson metro area. This position will serve as a key resource for financial reporting and analysis, helping leadership understand performance, evaluate opportunities, and make informed business decisions. The role will work across accounting and finance functions to provide meaningful reporting, support planning initiatives, and improve the availability of financial information throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports, statements, and analysis for management.
• Compile monthly financial and operational reports.
• Support treasury functions, including cash reporting, cash flow analysis, and related reporting activities.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Analyze budget-to-actual results and identify significant variances.
• Prepare forecasts, projections, and financial models.
• Generate ad hoc reports and analysis as requested.
• Extract, organize, and validate financial data from multiple systems.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely completion.
• Support the annual budgeting process.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and efficiencies.
• Present financial findings and recommendations to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, treasury, or a related field.
• Experience preparing financial statements, management reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to work with large amounts of financial data.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and financial performance.
• Ability to analyze results, identify trends, and support business decisions.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Compensation

• $90,000 - $100,000, depending on experience.
