We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support engineering and construction projects through coordination, scheduling, and cost tracking. This role works closely with project managers to maintain organized documentation, monitor project performance, and ensure accurate reporting across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project managers with day-to-day coordination and administrative project needs.
- Maintain organized project documentation, files, and correspondence.
- Track deliverables, milestones, and action items across multiple projects.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting notes.
- Assist with development and maintenance of project schedules.
- Monitor progress against timelines and flag potential delays or risks.
- Track project budgets, labor hours, expenses, and subcontractor costs.
- Support cost forecasting, variance tracking, and cost-to-complete analysis.
- Assist with invoice reviews, pay applications, and change order tracking.
- Prepare project status reports covering schedule, cost, and performance.
- Maintain change logs and support impact analysis for scope, cost, and schedule adjustments.
- Track submittals, RFIs, permits, and construction documentation.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and reporting standards.
- Utilize project management and reporting systems to maintain accurate data.
- Support project closeout documentation and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in project coordination, project controls, or cost/schedule support within engineering or construction.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Compensation
- $65,000–$75,000, depending on experience.
- Excellent benefits package.
