What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Massage Therapist position at Kinetic Massage and Movement Therapy?
Kinetic Massage and Movement Therapy seeks to add a part-time or full-time LMT to our schedule. We are a growing massage practice with a beautiful location in central Carson City. Kinetic focuses on providing evidence based, customized treatments to our clientele using a variety of techniques. Our comfortable space also provides a peaceful environment to help our clients relax and unwind.
We are looking for someone who fits in with our co-operative group of therapists and can collaborate on treatments and therapies. Clients will frequently see multiple therapists here, and we strive to support each other to provide the best possible outcomes. Our therapists actively engage in learning from each other and opportunities for discourse are provided and encouraged. Pay and benefits:
- $40 per hour of massage PLUS $20 per hour of non-massage time that you are clocked in

- Flexible schedule (some evenings and Saturdays required but we all share the responsibility so that no one has to work all evenings and Saturdays)
Responsibilities include:
- Performing 30, 60, and 90 minute massage treatments combining various techniques (ie-swedish, deep tissue, sports, cupping, etc.)
- Assessing clients’ health conditions and recommending appropriate techniques and treatments
- Using appropriate draping techniques to maintain client modesty
- Taking detailed SOAP notes of each session
- Maintaining a clean and well stocked room, assisting with general cleanliness of common areas
- When necessary, assisting with checking clients in and out, rescheduling clients, taking payment, and checking voicemails
Applicants are required to have:
- A valid NV LMT license in good standing, certificate required to be on display
- Active AMTA liability insurance
