Position Description
Kinetic Concepts, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dive Locker Operations Specialist to support a Marine Corps special operations unit at MCB Camp Lejeune, NC. This is a full-time contractor position (1,920 hours annually) embedded directly with an elite reconnaissance unit, working under the unit's Master Diver.
You will serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all diving and hyperbaric equipment maintenance, readiness, and operational support. This is a mission-critical role directly impacting the safety and operational readiness of some of the Marine Corps' most specialized personnel.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain mission readiness of approximately 1,200 pieces of dive and hyperbaric equipment, including Expeditionary Hyperbaric Chamber Systems (EHCS), Transportable Recompression Chambers (TRC), MK25 Closed-Circuit UBA, SCUBA systems, Bauer breathing air compressors, and RDOTPS.
• Develop and deliver daily operational briefings, status reports, and maintenance documentation to senior diving personnel.
• Apply technical expertise to assess equipment status, identify discrepancies, develop courses of action, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Support dive supervisor functions including pre- and post-dive checks, dive site command and control, and emergency procedure execution.
• Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures in accordance with U.S. Navy Diving Manual (Rev 7 or current), Marine Corps diving policy, NAVSEA, and SUPSALV requirements.
• Manage the Navy 3M Preventive Maintenance System for all dive locker equipment and maintain compliant maintenance records.
• Develop and submit detailed Dive Operations Plans (DOP) prior to each dive evolution.
• Support Diver Jump Reporting System (DJRS) entries and range safety operations.
• Report all dive-related incidents, hazards, and mishaps per Navy and Marine Corps reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of US Navy or USMC diving experience, including equipment and hyperbaric maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience with recompression chamber operations and maintenance, and MK25 combatant diving operations and maintenance.
• Most recent qualifying experience must be within the past 48 months.
Certifications & Qualifications
• US Navy Master Diver Certification with a minimum of 15 years of active diving and supervisory experience.
• Currently certified and qualified as a Lockout Trunk / Lockout Chamber (LOT/LOC) Officer for USN submarines.
• Qualified under NAVEDTRA 43910 and/or NAVEDTRA 43241 (or equivalent).
• Proficiency with the Global Combat Support System – Marine Corps (GCSS-MC).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top-Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
• Background in Naval Special Warfare, US Navy diving operations, or familiarity with Marine Reconnaissance diving environments.
• Experience as a Hyperbaric Chamber Operator and Dive Supervisor.
• Familiarity with NAVSEA and SUPSALV regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with manufacturer-specific certifications for dive equipment maintenance.
Work Environment and Conditions
• On-site position at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC
• Must be able to work in a military environment alongside active-duty personnel
• Occasional travel may be required to support dive operations at other CONUS locations
• Physical ability to safely perform dive equipment handling and maintenance tasks
• Must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws; Drug-Free Workplace requirements; and applicable OSHA and safety standards
Compensation & Terms
• Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• Full-Time Employment.
• Multi-year contract with annual escalation provisions.
• Standard 40-hour work week, Monday–Friday, 07:30–4:00 PM.
