The hourly range listed reflects the minimum and maximum for this role. Individual compensation is based on experience, qualifications, job-related skills, location, and internal equity, and most offers are not made at the top of the range.
Base pay is one part of Kinective’s Total Rewards package. Depending on the role, employees may also be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or equity. All interns have access to our immediately vested 401(k) with company contributions.

What you’ll own
Accounts Receivable & Collections
- Billing Support: Help generate and distribute accurate invoices to clients.
- Payment Application: Assist in reconciling daily bank deposits and applying payments to the correct customer accounts.
- Soft Collections: Conduct professional outreach via email and phone to follow up on past-due balances.
- Dispute Resolution: Work with the Sales and Customer Success teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Process Improvement: Help audit and document current AR workflows to identify "bottlenecks."
- Data Clean-up: Assist in a "Spring Cleaning" of our CRM/ERP data to ensure customer contact info and credit limits are up to date.
- Reporting: Build or update dashboards that track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
- Ad-hoc Support: Help the Controller or Finance Manager with year-end audit prep or software migrations.
- Current Student or Recent Grad: Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs are your friends). Experience with ERP software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Intacct) is a plus.
- Communication Skills: You can be firm about collections while remaining professional and helpful.
- The Driven Mindset: You enjoy digging into data to find out why things don't balance.
